There is so much to know about your children as they are growing up. Even for parents that work in fields related to psychology or education, it is still challenging to become familiar with all of the various aspects that will help your child grow and develop into happy and healthy beings.

The following services can be provided during one initial meeting or weekly meetings to facilitate appropriate collaboration among teachers, parents, and other service providers.

Focused Learning can provide services in the following three areas:

Academic

• Educate parents about how to further instruct their children in reading and other academic areas.
• Provide an overview of the Montgomery County Curriculum in grades K-12.
• Share instructional tools that can provide academic reinforcement.

Behavior Management

• Educate parents how to provide behavioral support to their children.
• Create behavior management interventions and plans for home and school.

Special Education

• Educate parents on the various special education codes and their definitions
• Educate parents on the laws for the special education identification process
