Organization Development
New material can only be learned and remembered if it is organized. As students grow, the demands of school become more intense and organizational skills are imperative to their success. Students must eventually be prepared for the structure and academic rigor of high school and college that demand efficient organization skills. Through weekly meetings, students will be introduced to effective and efficient organizational skills to help them become a more successful student.
Note taking
Students need good note taking skills in order to be successful. Note taking helps you to remain focused on new information that is introduced. Additionally it helps students to organize new ideas and compartmentalize them in their brain. The notes eventually become a valuable study tool that will help one recall what has been taught. Through each meeting students will develop and improve their note taking skills.
